Think this is in keeping with US intelligence viewpoint for last 25 years, they have shelled out many $$$ to acqure SAMs, part of them and other equipment, not to study but to remove them from the open market. This feels exactly like that scenario.
Theres a difference between getting a chance to walk around one and get a look and getting one that you can pull apart down to nuts and bolt and look at every piece of code and every chip at an a microscopic level
