Another part of the picture is that EK and the UAE CAA has had a very negative safety assesment from ICAO and the FAA.
They are simply growing too fast and these people are very concerned about this.
It is likely that EK needs to prove they put very experianced Capt on the flights to the US or they will not fly at all.
What I can not figure out however is that some very highly qualified guy's were rejected with the statement that they were overqualified ?
This place puzzles me, what's the problem with a degree, good referances and experiance?
