Indeed. They'd have done well to ask their contributor, Victoria Taylor, a PhD student at Hull, about German pronunciation: she's very good at getting it right.
And who decided on the incessant use of the word
mission(s) instead of
operation(s)? I'd have thought any primary-source reading of the subject would have revealed standard Bomber Command, not USAAF, parlance.
