As things stand now, I will be mightily surprised if there's any recruitment at Wizz for at least a year from now. They are currently planning to fly about 20% of their pre-COVID capacity in the coming months, with a lot of personnel being on unpaid leave as we speak - and they have enough pilots to cover 80% of the pre-COVID capacity. It's unlikely that said 80% will be exceeded next summer, even if we assume the most optimistic scenario regarding the pandemic, vaccines and some degree of return towards normal life. In the unlikely event that it is, some percentage of those made redundant in April will be hired with priority over any external candidate. So, whatever your application status for now, it's unlikely to have any implications on your near future.
