Steve Creedy was really good as The Australian's aviation editor, no idea why he left, but once he went to AirlineRatings it just became press release churn, I'm sure he hates writing that stuff as much as we hate reading it, but back when Friday's The Australian had many pages of aviation news, before blogs etc, it was a must-read. It's just a real shame that Australian Aviation has lost good writers and lost the edge for covering news.
May I add 'The Australian' back in the 80s/90s also had half a dozen job adds going from VFR 210 drivers to twin IFR jobs, Coast Watch, Instructors required, meat bombers, banner towing.
In the 80s the aviation section was printed every Wednesday plus those days you would go to your local newsagent and grab all the aviation news with a array of mags. No apps those days.
