Agreed, it still doesn't hurt to take the test, like you said you have 12 months to make a decision and see where the industry is at, if all is failing, then you back out and try again later on, taking the assessments now even if you have to resit will always give you an advantage later on. Stay vigilant and dont be narrow minded on starting ASAP.
