Other airlines have cut to half pay or no pay, according to their circumstances. If EK bosses are paying out of the kindness of their hearts I will convert.

What does that even mean, "has your back"? They keep the slaves close to hand on half pay (which for the average family is coincidentally about the right amount to pay the bills) putting the cash right back into their own economy and ready to man the oars at the first sign of recovery. To paraphrase TCK, it's truly a "cost-neutral adjustment".
Remember when?? It's not like it's been six years of world war or a decade of occupation. It's been a number of weeks. Frankly I find the shameless opportunism sickening, not uplifting. Dropp, are you one of the ones on no pay but wished you'd stayed for half pay?
