Every single Pilot should become an army of one. Similar arrogance is being displayed to LAMEs. They won't give us any offer whatsoever. I put to them at an EA meeting - "would you be prepared to offer us a 1% pay increase?". Answer was no.

I suspect your sick leave will increase as will fuel use. I have one other suggestion. Snag every single defect on your aircraft regardless of how minor it is. The shortage of Engineers will lead to many problems they will not be able to solve.
