Not so. I gather the company would like all the Captains to come from the mainline F.O force, but very few were interested.
I hear no low hour (<1500 hrs) pilots are being sought. If you joined mainline as an F.O. the total package would be worth nearly double the LowCost.
In all, the only selling point may be a quick command, then again you are at the bottom of a big seniority list, with no final salary pension.
