Todays Australian Aviation Page gives a entertaining EK crew summary and makes note of the seperate accom for QF crews
One of Baileys better writings. Worth a read
The trouble is that what he writes, particularly about Qf is bulls*it.
Separate hotels to stop crew interaction is just rubbish. Separate hotels is sometimes because one hotel can’t supply enough rooms but more likely to be because flt ops and cabin crew are separate departments running there own budgets so therefore cabin crew management are prepared to put their employees in lower standard hotels andor in less desirable locations for budgetary reasons.
AIPA pushes very hard to not let the standard reduce or be located in an undesirable location. Doesn’t always succeed however.
