They are, but that doesn't stop the authority questioning it some decades after it was approved. Ideally I need someone to confirm if the greens continue THROUGH the red bar or if the greens get chopped off when the timing is up. I only need to supply a little evidence to resolve the query, hence asking on this page.
They do not continue through the red stop bars. I can't confirm about the time limit. Also, to add more confusion - I thought they were alternating green/amber - but I may be wrong about that. I will look carefully for you on my next night departure, which should be next week.
