When I left Hong Kong, the general timing was 70 seconds, however there is variation on that, depending on the runway and taxiway. The timing of turning off the stop bar is always problematic. Too early and it will turn on again just as you are lining up. If we leave it until you get closer to the stop bar we get a complaint from the cockpit that we have forgotten to turn it off.

As far as simulators are concerned, any simulator will occasionally have problems with the visuals. (Airport lighting, signage and markings.) I was asked to have a look at the visuals with your 747-8F simulator before it was put into service to check just such matters and there were faults with that. I would have thought that these problems are sorted out during acceptance testing.
