Thumbs up

Thanks for the responses folks.

M&V, Pete Swatton was my Perf A instructor some years ago and got me through the course. What a brain the man has. However, much of that was to do with your ability to read a graph accurately. I want to know more of the aerodynamics involved, what affects Vmcg, how to increase MTOM, best flap selection, those sorts of things. I guess I want a kind of airline pilot's reference book for performance. Is it that kind of book?. O\ZON you can get PJ Swatton's book through the Transair pilot shop - www.transair.co.uk #24.95(that is GBP).

Cromanon, thanks. Is my explanation above more specific? I passed the exam years ago, but want to get to the nuts and bolts of how best to achieve the required aircraft performance, with plenty of easy to understand text and diagrams. Has it been writen yet?

DrA300, thanks, I'll check this one out.
