ba pay

on top of basic pay cabin crew at lhr whether shorthaul or longhaul are paid allowances which are based on the country you are flying to,although they are all paid with you basic salary at the end of the month.depending on what sort of trips you have these can vary because some destinations are worth more than others,it also depends on the length of your trip as to how much you earn,on shorthaul some trips are there and back and some 2 or 3 day trips.we also receive different payments for short turnarounds, early reports etc.its quite an old fashioned system compared to other airlines who pay their crews hourly pay,but on the whole most of us are quite happy with it and we definately earn more than if we got paid by the hour, i think delboy@gb must be referring to shorthaul lgw crews who receive an hourly rate flying allowance,as far as i know any new entrants will be joining at lhr and we definately are not on an hourly rate
