It must be awfully convenient that CAA incompetence steers licence holders into AOPA's arms. Only with a highly selective or defective memory could that incompetence be rationalised by Brexit. The UK CAA has had 4 to 6 years to make those preparations. Its counterpart in the Republic of Ireland functions normally despite a deluge of incoming licences. The simple task of despatching fresh certificates of revalidation hardly rises to the level of competency needed for contingency planning.
