It is difficult to obtain a reliable count of the total number of current ASIC and MSIC cards, or the currency of all cards on the AusCheck database. This is despite the database being established to provide a comprehensive record of all ASIC and MSIC applicants and cardholders.
and then at the rigorous and meaningful and comprehensive background checks
Based on an extract of the AusCheck database in June 2010, AusCheck processed 97 per cent of its background checking activity within one day and 99 per cent was completed in five business days or less.
