I guess at the end of the day it all depends on where you want to work after getting your ATPL but unless you're planning on going back to India, I cannot emphasize the importance of obtaining a
PR.
I'm sorry if I sounded harsh, it's just that I've seen a lot of students who spent tons of money on training only to realize they cannot find a place to work because they do NOT have the legal means to (
PR, Visa, etc).

I think one year of skilled work experience after graduation allows a student to apply for a
PR. Kindly correct me if I'm wrong.
