Thank you Treadi - we took a walk around the airfield (by the river) it was a lovely day and we also checked out the gliding club activities too,we did not have any spare time to visit the gliding club,as usual we had given ourselves an extremely tight schedule.We had planned our rail journeys very carefully and were surprised when the train ID numbers did not come up on the ticket machine as an option to buy and we had to purchase a more expensive semi fast train.It was my other half who eventually cottoned on to the rail strike whilst listening to an announcement as we were speeding north on the 'Red Arrow' train.
We had to change trains at Bologna and ended up running along the platform to get aboard just as the doors slammed shut,we were not 100% sure it was the trento train
(it was an old train with no info displays) - all turned out ok in the end LOL
