From a pure France's perspective AF447 was presumably much more critical to France than ET302 may ever be. And I doubt that anyone (sensible) in France feels happy that this is happening to Boeing today....

Perhaps the CVR/FDR being sent to France may be a tacit recognition underneath pragmatism, that there needs to be other eyes looking at this?
