I agree, but from the comments on this forum, the aircraft is not capable of flying to normal parameters without MCAS. I.e. the trim adjustment required as AOA increases due to the engine cowling lift. Does that mean it should never have been certified in the first place? It’s not exactly inherently unstable like a fighter, but Boeing have used automation to counteract problems with the design.
