The poster above says they work for them and YTD have grossed $241k. Although that is not a huge salary for an Airline Captain in 2019, neither is it so low as to fail to attract applicants. Especially if you’re in the NZ job market.
Why precisely did Jetconnect exist?
It existed to arbitrage Trans-Tasman relations and undermine terms and conditions.
It had, after all no lease expense for its 'fleet'. It's CEO the hapless Paul Daff, didn't know the other directors, how much was in the bank account and begrudgingly admitted all pilot payments and bills were paid from Sydney.
That isn't a 'business' is but another IR strategy.
Hiding remuneration is unusual and doing so suggests that oversupply of applicants isn't something they expect.
