A great region.
Lots of gliders and some helicopters to keep in mind when operating the Dornier 328 jet in and out of the field.
Pure VFR. Easy enough for us as we generally landed straight in from the south east and took off opposite out the wally climbing in the middle to avoid gliders.
Tragic accident.
Tough to operate in the mountains, never mind looking out for traffic.
