It is written very clearly in their respective FCOM SOP's.

For clarity, can someone explain to me the benefit/rationale for reading the title, before reading the checklist?
I have had pilots read the title and then read the wrong checklist, so it can't to make sure the correct checklist is being read.

Considering some guys on here object to having to call the FMA, why do we then encourage other superfluous talking?
In our SOP, we must read the title of the checklist before reading the items. Before it was not required but they changed it 3 years ago although no mention in Airbus manuals..
I also see skippers reading the title and then the wrong checklist but that's because they don't read it; Just repeat it after the PF called for it. Should not happen if the guy wait to actually identify the title in the checklist then read the items.
