On the face of it, this does read as if the cause is the same as the Norway 225, but with a short amount of elapsed time since the crash, one would have to stop and think as to whether or not the Koreans have had enough time yet to carry out the analysis required to say it was a defective mast.

Sure the mast failed and the MRH flew on alone, but why did the mast fail - did the MRGB suddenly stop (as Norway), was the mast moment too high, was it defective as they are suggesting?

If the Koreans have carried out enough analysis to prove their info release, then we ought to send the AAIB there to learn a thing or two!
