Leaving Qatar

I find that the biggest obstacle in leaving is usually the bank. I only found out about the credit card only after probing my bank manager. They usually hide or forget to give you key information until you probe deeper. Explain all the products you have and ask them what effect it will have in getting a clearance letter. That letter is your key to getting your end of service bonus

All the best with your new job. Safe landings.
Not only the banks and their credit cards. If you own a vehicle, that has to be cleared off your ID. Your Mobile/Internet/TV must be cleared...if you are on a pre-pay with carriers, there shouldn't be any issues. Water/electric must be cleared. Everyone wants a no=objection letter! It's easier to get into that acidic place than it is to leave. Also, make sure that your money is transferred out of the country before leaving. Trying to deal with the 'experts' over the phone is next to impossible.
