On another note. Banks require 45 days to completely cancel your credit cards. Could even be more, this was just my bank. They will not release your all clear letter for the airline until after the 45 days waiting period.
I find that the biggest obstacle in leaving is usually the bank. I only found out about the credit card only after probing my bank manager. They usually hide or forget to give you key information until you probe deeper. Explain all the products you have and ask them what effect it will have in getting a clearance letter. That letter is your key to getting your end of service bonus
