Fatigued Fred - my comment was very firmly laying out the situation in the case that the Republic of Ireland had acted first.
AFAIK, the UK is not threatening to stop EU aircraft from operating in the UK. What I have seen, is several threats from the EU and countries therein to stop the UK from operating in the EU post brexit.
