It's the same discounts that apply to all airline employees and just about everyone in the travel industry, not only aimed at pilots. They can be booked by anyone, but ID will be checked (and a pilot license alone probably won't work). Some codes I got to know after jumping from helicopters to the airlines are Marriott: TVL, Hilton: AL, Hyatt: TIRT. They exist for the same reason ID90 or IDZE tickets exist, and can provide significant discounts (and an ego-boost to a certain breed of airline pilot)

I still think the above post is spam/fraud though, and after paying a fee all you will get is a 'fake' aircrew card that you could have printed and laminated at home yourself. I highly doubt the major hotels will accept these IDs that also are available for UAV, UAS, and Drone pilots as per the website.

PS: After leaving one of the offshore majors a couple years back I just recently started for a European airline...top 96%ile it certainly is not for the time being *lol*
