Indeed it does make you wonder..... This announcement will no doubt result in a wave of resignations. Guys that are in a position to leave however would be willing to stay if things turned around. I think you will be surprised at how few pilots will leave after this latest insult. Sure some have their applications out and some have already been hired at other airlines but I’ll bet anyone EK loses at the most 200 pilots between now and 1Sept and that number is probably too high.
I know I said EK could potentially lose 400 plus pilots but after talking to some of the pilots today the numbers are way less. Most of the pilots weren’t too upset about this farce so I don’t know what it is going to take to make pilots upset and leave. Certainly not this.
