This all started just over 3 years ago when management decided to try and shaft the classic pilots by telling them all that they had to apply for their positions again and to expect demotions and forced relocations as part of Qlink’s contribution to the groups ‘transformation’, without any regard to seniority or consultation with the union. All of this was based on an inaccurate calculation made by some ‘tard in Sydney who was shifted onto a different part of the business whilst the rest of us were forced to pickup the pieces of those that went elsewhere instead of being demoted, went on long term sick leave to keep their captain pay for as long as possible and those that lost any interest in helping the company out. Pretty soon the crew numbers were totally wrong with the CP scrambling to make excuses for workfarce plannings huge mistake. The fact that the current shortage is further hurting the company is quite amusing to some with a lot of pilots looking elsewhere to further their careers, captains who want to get out before they have to fly with ‘trainees’ and a general lack of moral around the place.
