(2) if the tide turned in 1914, why did the US have to enter in 1917? Considering the advances by the Germans in the summer of 1918, it was only Pershing’s men that stood between the Germans and Paris. But, then the German citizenry rose up forcing Ludendorff’s hand in stepping down.
(3) Right, again, if the tide had turned in ‘42, why were we decisive in the ending the war with the Russian Army’s assisting from the east. Could France and UK defeated Germany alone by crossing the Channel?
