Received from the gliding community.

It is my sad duty to announce the passing of Richard Pincus this afternoon.

Richard, as he usually did, had flown down from Sommersby in his RV6 to tow for us on Sunday. As the winds picked up, the club flying day was cancelled. Richard waited around for several hours and then headed off. Upon landing, he overshot the end of the runway and into the ditch at the end. He never regained consciousness as he was transported to Royal North Shore. After the arrival of his family from around the world, life support was turned off this afternoon and the end was fast.

In typical Richard style, even in death, everything is quite well organised and there will be no funeral, at his request. A wake will be held at a time to be decided after Easter. Details will be passed on when known.
