Wouldn't slate turboprops too early. Even the classic Dash 200/300 had a more appropriate FMS to the big Boeing/Airbus boys. The 146 teaches you lots of raw data awareness and it is jet time. But it seems airlines do also like FMS/glass cockpit time these days to. And the Q400 is full EFIS.
At least you will become a more "rounded" pilot having flown other types during your career.
