I sat down with cabin crew recruitment the other day, and had a chat about the future prospects of recruitment - I have several friends on the short list.
At this stage, we are still deemed to be overstaffed in both divisions, more so in short haul. Plus there are a lot of crew on leave without pay and temporary part time that will come back to full time flying in due course, again increasing our numbers.
No planned recruitment at all for this financial year.
The only possibility of recruitment would be on a casual basis, but that too is unlikely.
Sorry to bring bad news, but I wouldnt be sitting by the phone, waiting for a call, anytime soon
