At least you've been shown the bargaining template for your next EBA negotiations..
Follow their (Management's) example.
They won't sign an order for income producing assets because of "uncertainty" caused by the Pilot body (or whatever the scapegoat is this week). A financially suicidal decision based on....nothing. It's a wonder they keep operations going because of the "uncertainty" that there may be a hull loss one day.
Then fine.
Come next EBA, no agreement from the SH/ LH Pilot bodies until Management remove all of the uncertainties in the negotiation equations.
Demand complete removal of doubt surrounding:
- Trans Tasman flying,
- The growth of subsidiary companies and their use/ purpose in the group,
- Transparency in future fleet planning,
- etc
- etc and;
- etc.
Until then, no ball. No signatures.
Condolences on what could/ should be a great career, tarnished by Accounts/ MBA's and "Talent Aquisition Specialists" who can't see past the next bonus.
I had to walk away from my flying career due to Family reasons, and used to mourn this every day. Knowing that this is how you are treated in what is meant to be the top flying job in Australia goes a long way towards numbing the pain.
