I’ve haven’t flown any shiny new jets in the last 15+ years. I think I can hold out a while longer....
This seems to be the feeling of everyone (and yes I do mean everyone) I have spoken to. Despite the very best efforts to reengage the workforce after the lockout, people now view it largely as just another job. Apathy is probably an undesired side effect of the highly adversarial nature of IT tactics used in recent years, leading indirectly and directly to the dead decade and ultimately the lockout.
Show up, fly the jet, go home, get paid. Repeat.
If they don’t want to buy new tools, then I’ll keep doing the job with the tools I’ve got but at some stage they will need to answer to the shareholders.
