Unfortunately there was no reply to windshearescape’s claim, so I’ll just ignore him.
But others want a clarification as to why WOW is ‘doing poddidge’?
There is nothing wrong with WOW per se. They are in all, just another low cost carrier trying to eke out a living. By using their geographic location of a barren windswept volcanic rock in the North Atlantic to their advantage.
But who out of choice would wish to commute there, for a twenty day, two way stretch inside, at at disused US Air Force base, miles from nowhere.
They offer discounted accommodation in the former military barracks, but it’s not Butlin’s holiday camp. The locals don’t want you there, the native women aren’t interested. It’s expensive as hell, and a trip into the big city bright lights is underwhelming.
So you just end up bideing your time waiting for it to end. At least on Alcatraz you can swim to freedom.
Seriously though, if any WOW pilots offer guided fishing trips, I’d love to go. But apart from that, I see no reason to ever go there. And if it wasn’t for a half decent paying job, the crews wouldn’t either.
