Hiya David,

This thread is right up my street being a member of the afformentioned club!

Saying that I have to be a member to get access to the privately owned aircraft that I fly. I have given up flying Cardiff Club aircraft for good, on cost basis, its got prohibitively expensive over the last few weeks. Some club members have been grounded due to rising costs in hiring!

I have to sleep for a few hours this morning (coming off a week of nights at work), but I am flying later on this afternoon so will try and probe for some information and maybe post something in reply on here or send you a private message. I'll point this post out to the instructors, they may want to reply also.

Certainly hope they have fuel... I need to fill my aeroplane up!!! Otherwise I'm staying with my feet firmly on the ground, this after getting the aeroplane back from a six week annual.

I'll also re-iterate what ecj says above in his post... Do not pay up front for any training. Not just at Cardiff but anywhere else really. Do the mobile phone style service, "Pay-as-you-go". On the other hand I'm nearly sure they don't offer discounts for bulk payment anyway at Cardiff.

Best wishes,

Charlie Zulu.
