Relaxing Cabotage

There are rumblings that cabotage is being actively considered as a means of maintaining service levels, where domestic operators are unable to comply.

This is a real threat that political pressure may give cabotage a look in.

A few pilots on visas, is nothing in comparison to foreign operators operating domestic routes.

Without arguing about pay rate and race to the bottom, if Australian carriers cant crew their own flights now, how are you going to stand up to a foreign operator that would be happy to tag ons......

If you have the inclination make a submission, I will be.
