I think it depends a lot on routes. My main EK route is Man - DXB hen onwards on what ever metal on the route. My comments on the 380 appertain to this route, and I am usually on mid day or evening flight. It has been the 3 class older 380 which I have noted been noticeably less spiffy shall we say. I agree with you about the new bar, although I usually stand rather than use the booths, as I find that is one of the best things about the EK 380 experience, in that there is space to stretch your legs, speak to other passengers and indeed crew, without getting in the way. One of the nicest and interesting bars in the world I find.
777 have been on Cape Town and India routes recently, and were just a little older then I have travelled on other routes, along with on return to DXB being taken to gates half way to Muscat which involved long bus rides !
