Some recent flight I have had with EK on both 777 /380 have been on some quite tired A/C at least internally. Therefore either upgrade interiors or get new A/C but with the size of EK fleet this is no doubt difficult. Having said that one of my last BA flight (some years ago now) was on an even worse 777 to Nairobi where nothing worked in my Business class seat (including the crew) and no transfer available or upgrade offered, and that A/C is I believe still with them.
