When is the star assigned for airline flights
Hi all
I have been listening to brisbane airport control frequencies quite a bit lately and i hear aircraft stepping down via the star to join the ils and just curious at what point do the pilots know what star they will use, i have not heard brisbane approach mention the star by name just descend via star for approach
Is this something that centre approves before handing the flight to approach or is this known at flight plan stage, or pehaps relayed via company or atc mid flight, thanks in advance
