Love how they are pimping flying the 787 as some sort of super awesome once in a career privilege. After 1000 hours on the thing, I can tell you it's just another airliner that goes far. The only thing that is a little nicer then others is the bunk. I really hope that's not worth the damage this horrid contract does to our profession.

Since I am an American pilot I will only say that for the incredibly low pay and a training bond, how can any of you be even considering this horrible deal at NAI? At the company I work for at 8 years seniority I take-home about 14,000 Euro a month. And I work for about 20% less than some of the other airlines. In addition I have 18+ days off monthly, unlimited travel, retirement and profit-sharing about 35,000 Euro yearly.
Why is it that you all seem to value your skills and knowledge so little as to crawl over to NAI to fly internationally on a widebody for what my copilot on an A320 makes? I must be seriously missing some great benefit or extra pay that has not been mentioned yet. PLEASE tell me why you are even thinking about calling Rishworth?
I guess I don't understand how flying in Europe works. I'm not trying flame anyone or brag, I just don't understand.

It's easy to succumb to a bit of tall poppy syndrome, until you realise that it's swings and roundabouts.
Exchange rates are also subject to change. Your legacy guys with 35+ years seniority were hovering around $200/hr. 100,000GBP a year, or 115,000 Euros at the time. It was the laughing stock of the developed world's aviation market.
It comes and goes, and while I'm not for a moment defending this hideous contract, it's just a manifestation of the current market forces in the EU. As was the joke of a decade in the US.

Guys any update on the selection process? I've applied last summer and did the online test. After several months I've got an email telling me to wait (approx xmas).
Then another email few months ago telling me again to wait cause the application process is still in progress.
WTF almost 1 year and I still don't have the result of my online test or any news about the next step of the assessment.

Don't you have some warning bells going off in your head. If they treat you this way during the recruitment process, and you still are interested in joining them. Some people really can't be helped.

Plenty of decent money jobs out there working for airlines that don't feed from the bottom.
I'm an 11 year F/O on a package of 24,000 USD per month, clearing 20,000 after tax. 747 for a legacy well to the east.
I wouldn't get out of bed for less.

Unfortunately in the EU any idiot with 250 hours and type rating can get to a linee cockpit..paying for it in the range of 150K euro so that he'll be able to post a picture of him self in the cockpit on his FB page and to feel super cool. Pax will pay soon the price of this lack of background and wisdom.

If you are recruited, best open a Skype account, pack washing powder, pot noodles, and delay any major purchases - at least until you can secure permanent employment with an airline, rather than fragile employment with Orient Ship Management, OSM, or other agency broom cupboard affiliate.
US presidential candidate Bernie Sanders believes;
“Norwegian International’s attempt to undermine international labor laws is unacceptable“
“We must do everything we can to prevent a global race to the bottom in the airline industry”

The Sanders announcement is surprising given that Kjos has worked hard to gain approval of politicians in his unique, diplomatic style:
“Norwegian CEO Bjorn Kjos believes American politicians who criticize him are bought and paid for”

Out of curiousity, do you have to be a EU citizen to work for NLH if based in the EU?
Do NLH have any EU bases now, as opposed to BKK?
I see that Rishworth are offering employment with NLH now via a "UK Employment Contract with a UK Company" whatever that means?
I presume that for this contract, you must be a EU citizen?

The NLH roadshow in the Middle East has been a failure.
