Cathay didn’t get a mention
Cathay didn’t even warrant a mention in the trip advisor awards released recently
This is their list
Top 10 Airlines in the World
1. Singapore Airlines
2. Qatar Airways
3. EVA Air
4. Emirates
5. Japan Airlines (JAL)
6. Southwest Airlines
7. Azul
8. Air New Zealand
9. Jet2.com
10. ANA (All Nippon Airways)
pretty sad considering the fact that we used to score on every poll but not really surprising

Trip advisor...really!? Who is still using them? When you go on their website, all you get is tours and venues they are promoting! I used to use them, now I no longer trust their reviews.

I flew with CX last month in J class from HKG to SIN and it was a great flight. Mostly happy with CX. They seemed to drop the standard a bit over recent years but lifted the game on this flight.
Always happy to choose CX and have done so for almost 30 years.
Sad to see the company is not supporting loyal and professional staff. Hope to see happy compromise reached some time soon.

I hate to agree with Froggy, but who really cares what trip advisor says about airlines. Eva? Jet2? Please. That would be like formulating your political views off what one hears from CNN. Incomplete, biased, and entirely self promoting.

I could, and would score SAS low on their business class product, but would score Air Juan high on their one class ditto.

Yep - Southwest do what they say on the side of the tin (get you from A to B reliably at a fair price, while treating staff well and making a decent profit) They don't aspire, or pretend to be a 5* restaurant in the sky. I would think most lists of top 10 airlines, from any perspective (passenger, staff or shareholders) would have them on the list
Voted by the travellers. I suspect not many of our customers are using Trip Advisor as there are Chinese advice/booking apps such as C Trip.
There are quite a few ex CX and KA pilots in Jet2 now!

When you’re paying around $7000 for Business Class seats from Australia to Europe, you don’t expect to feel the “springs” sticking through the worn out lie-flat bed, the cabin crew “topping up” your water bottles because they don’t have sufficient 400ml bottles during a 12 hour flight, only one snack per person between scheduled meal services and of course, no salt and pepper.
The standard of their business class product has definitely gone downhill due to a lack of investment which I suspect is because of some bean counter who knows the cost of everything but the value of nothing.
And the only reason I continue to travel on Cathay Pacific is because of the quality of the pilots, although this fact seems to be overlooked by management.
My family are travelling in business class to Europe again very soon and I’ll be very disappointed if there has not been a noticeable improvement in the standard of this product since our experience from last year.
