"Sustainable" Shark Fin Cargo?

HK Express becomes first Hong Kong airline to ban shark fin cargo

Budget carrier HK Express will become the city’s first airline to ban shark fin cargo, the Sunday Morning Post has learned.

HK Express joins 35 airlines worldwide that have pledged to stop carrying shark fin, including British Airways, American Airlines, Qantas, Singapore Airlines and Emirates.

Cathay Pacific and Dragonair are among others that claim to follow a “sustainable” shark-fin policy, which Hong Kong’s flagship carrier described last year as “a more challenging approach than an outright ban, but it is part of our commitment to be consistent with the principles of sustainable development”.

It's like sustainable pilot farming.
What ass clown would think cutting a body part off and throwing the rest away was a ok thing? All while the poor shark is still living. Sickos are what those people are.

The real sicko's are the men/women in suits that come up with a term like 'sustainable shark fining' to justify padding their obscene bonuses even higher. There is apparently no money making strategy too awful to repel our management.

Cathay Pacific remains coy

http://www.ejinsight.com/20160523-hk...c-remains-coy/

Cathay Pacific said it will only accept a shark fin cargo after the goods are verified by the UUCN Shark Specialist Group and TRAFFIC, the wildlife trade monitoring network.

In Hong Kong, a reporter found a shop in the bustling central Sheung Wan area offering totoaba swim bladders, or maw, but the product was hidden.
Now who do we know that flies cargo from Mexico to Hong Kong??

We hope this new direct service will further stimulate the flow of goods between Mexico and Asia, at the same time boosting Hong Kong’s standing as one of the world’s key international airfreight hubs.”

The CX “sustainable” shark-fin policy shown for the crock that it is.

At last, an encouraging response from an immoral and greedy profit-motivated management having been exposed in the full light of day. Well done to all concerned!
