Altara - Jetstar

I applied just over a year ago for a cabin crew position and was selected for the final interview and was unsuccessful! So after a year I applied again and they called me last week (25th of june) saying a few questions about where I have worked etc and whether I'm looking for full time or casual etc. they said they will get back to me in 5-10 business days for the assessment and I did mention that I applied last year. I think I lacked experience or short of referees last year. This time I think I got the potential. This is for the Melbourne cabin crew position. Anyone else got contacted via phone recently?

Talking ALTARA AD MELBOURNE WEDNESDAY 18 July

Just wondering if anyone that made it to one on ones in Melbourne (18 July), has heard anything from Altara. Also how many people generally make it through to ground school.

Jetstar - Wannabes & Recruitment III

Hey there, yes I made it through to the interview stage. Not taking the Melbourne base now though.. I'm in the process of doing all my medicals/ teeth X-rays etc and going to making the move to SEQ. start GS there at the end of November. As the ground school was for the start if september I wouldn't have had the time to get everything done and move to Melbourne (from Adelaide). So going to brizzy now instead

Altara / Jetstar

Hi
I have been selected for Altara's AD for a casual position with Jetstar, date yet to be informed of.
I have a couple of questions that I hope some current FA's can answer.
How many shifts per week would a casual get?
Im in Melbourne, is all the training in Melbourne?
And can I juggle this job with a young family (2 kids under school age) and a hubby.

Thanks x

Cabin Manager

Hi there,

Does anyone have details regarding take-home pay for the recently advertised Cabin Manager positions in SYD?

I've taken a look at the latest EBA but if anyone could give me a rough estimation of what you take home fortnightly (after tax) I'd really appreciate it!

Feel free to PM if you'd prefer.

Thanks guys - and good luck for those with ADs/Ground Schools coming up

Cabin Manager

Yes they are recruiting externally for "experienced" Cabin Managers based in DRW and SYD - so I assume that includes Senior FAs/FA1s from other airlines.

Anyone have ideas of the fortnightly take-home pay, rosters etc for a domestic Cabin Manager based in SYD?

Do you need a Australian passport to work for Jetstar Australia, or will a UK passport plus visa suffice?

Hello Taroom - recruitment is dependant on operational requirements.

Darwin based crew operate to a number of destinations and includes Asia.

Has anybody that is currently on hold with Altara, preferably for MEL base, heard any more about being sent for medicals, and when training is looking likely to be? It has been 2 1/2 months now since the assessment day, and my hope is beginning to lack..

JETCONNECT

Hi all,

This may not be the best place to post but Qantas, Jetstar and Jetconnect are all related anyway! I went to an assessment day on the 9th of Feb, got through to one on one interviews and they had contacted both of my referees by the 13th of Feb. My friend who also went to the assessment day with me has received an online hogans test to complete whilst I have still heard nothing. (My friend has not given copies of her drivers license or birth cert)

Do you think this means that I am out of the running? Or is it too early to decide? I know once they complete the hogans that its pretty much straight to medicals from there, but is everyone meant to do a hogans test? And do they get sent out all at once? My partner also received the online test within a week of attending the assessment day, and now I feel as if I am waiting for nothing! I wish they would tell me either way.

Thanks for any help!

Have you gotten your phone interview yet? They as you questions like, What do you think the role of a flight attendent is? What is your expected salary? Are you alright with shift work? Why do you want to work for Jetstar?

I got mine and got an email to go to the assessment centre on Monday 18th March.

Is anyone else going aswell? I wonder what the assessment centre will be like...
