"Was" is more appropriate...no longer on the US register. As menitoned just the one made. The photo came from a well known web source of aircraft photos.

I assume that's Airliners.net then.

edit: However, you said it was a low res. photo so I doubt it on reflection.

I have to go to the other side of the airfield for the rest of the afternoon and will have no web access.

See you around.

"Quick-N-Easy".
Bingo I guess to be 100% correct its the Boswell Quick-N-Easy. Odd that it has evaded Aerofiles. Had wondered if it had a different name, but nothing comes up on searches so looks like its one they missed. The registration looks like there's a digit missing between the 8 and the 7, but it was indeed registered N5187 and checks out on the FAA website.

LM has control

My new job is to confirm kills. However I can be unreliable. Here goes again...

Leo 470

Was that a brief guest appearance?
Yep!

I'll give this one to LM, as he was the first to suggest the actual identity of this beautiful flying boat. LM has control.

Thanks eb.

I agree with you that it was indeed a beautiful machine.

This one is not so. I shall be off-line for an hour.

That flat canopy might lead to questions about whether it is a UAV but maybe not? I'll go with the latter... correct? RR

Blimey is the word.

Our antipodean smartass strikes again.

Graeme has declared OH.

Anyone want the original photograph?

I see an Oz green light, so we might get something yet.
