On the basis of what we have so far, can we assume it's manned? Rocket powered? References have been made to German machines....I'll go another route...Japan?

I think it's a V1 airframe converted into a towed fuel tank for IFR experiments?

TC has hit it.

It's the Feisler Fi-103 SG-5041 towed fuel tank, based on the V1.

No Martin, although not much clearance under the fuselage it takes off and lands from runways.
