Out of curiosity, relating to recent events, what mach no. do FR cruise at, in their B700-800s?

If recent info I have been given about their cost index is correct it should be +/- .79 most of the time. Less with a tailwind, a "little more" with a headwind.
.82 is a special setting for contractors trying to "optimise" their earnings ;)

Apparently the cost index is coming back to 6 in the near future, it is currently 30. It will be more like 0.76-77 with this:sad:

That's going to be a good one. Ask the ez guys what happened when they flew low CI numbers. They caused a traffic jam and ATC asked them to speed up, especially in descent. I wonder if the schedules will be increased to reflect the longer flight times, or will you guys save fuel but be paid at the old shorter flight time rates? RYR saves money twice. Hm?

Hm I wonder… even now I commonly see flight times exceeding scheduled block time, when there is a bit of wind. Wonder what will happen with the best on time record :E Can't have your cake and eat it too...

Fortunately releasing the parking brake enables the occasional "Off-Side" equalising shot from those of us who have ACARS installed :rolleyes:
