Can any one tell me where there is a Fokker F27 flight simulator or aircraft available to carry out a type conversion.
Presently based between UK and South Africa.

Have been informed of a company in Holland called Stork Services that does it but been unable to find them.

A job prospect looms somewhere in Africa so any quick replies will be most appreciated.

Cheers

Enjoy it !!! I flew over 6,000 hours on the bird, more years ago than I care to think of, and enjoyed every one of them. Good luck.

The old USAir sim is now in Miami. It's a Fairchild 227 sim, not a Fokker. I can't remember the name of the outfit, but I can find out if you wish.

Herod, yeah it was a pretty good airplane wasn't it? I've got nearly 13,000 hours mostly on the same machine. The guys from C. J. Langenfelder use to call it the turbo blimp. :D

I believe LuxAir might have something. Check out their website!

Try CAE in Maastricht.

They have a JAA approved sim, but I am not sure if they offer courses...

Just be sure not to--

Try to select ground fine pitch...in the air, and
close the throttles during descent.

One ain't good for your health, the other ain't good for the engines (layshafts, reduction gearing).

An old design that still finds work today.:ok:
